Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026 · Private beta

yolvu ("we", "us") lets you save posts, ads, videos, documents, and links from anywhere, distills them into usable knowledge, and helps you recall and reuse them later. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and the control you have. We keep it plain on purpose.

1. Who we are

yolvu is the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].

2. What we collect

AccountYour email address and an encrypted password, so you can sign in.
ProfileThe niche, tone, and audience you tell us during onboarding, used to tailor drafts and recall. Optional and editable anytime.
SavesThe links, text, and files you send to yolvu, plus the public content we re-fetch from them (post text, transcripts, extracted document text), and the distilled cards we produce.
Recall indexNumeric embeddings of your saves so you can search them in your own words. They are not readable text.
OperationalBasic timestamps, processing status, and per-request cost, to run and protect the service. We do not sell data or run third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We process your data to perform our contract with you (running the service you signed up for), on the basis of your consent where you have given it (aggregate insights), and on our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and reliable, balanced against your rights.

5. Who processes your data

We use a small set of sub-processors strictly to run the product. They act on our instructions:

SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and file storage (EU region).
Anthropic, GoogleLarge-language-model providers that classify and distill the content you save. Content is sent to produce your cards and is not used by us to train models.
ApifyRe-fetches public content from the platforms you share from.
CloudflareHosting, content delivery, and network security.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

6. What you send us about others

When you save public content created by other people (a tweet, a video, an article), we process it to build your private card. It stays visible only to you. If you are the author of content in yolvu and want it removed, contact [email protected].

7. Retention

We keep your account and saves until you delete them or close your account. When you delete a save it is removed from your library; when you delete your account we erase your saves, profile, and recall index, and remove your authentication record. Backups roll off on a short cycle.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, and erase your data. Two of these are one tap inside the app:

You may also withdraw consent for aggregate insights anytime, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Each user's rows are isolated by row-level security so one account cannot read another's saves. Access to production systems is limited and keys are held server-side. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least privilege and hard spending limits.

10. Children

yolvu is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We will update this page as the product grows and note the date at the top. During the private beta, material changes may happen more often; we will tell beta users when they do.
